As part of a long-term field study, Vattenfall — Sweden's state-owned energy company — used Controll Innerseal to protect and extend the lifespan of the concrete structure inside the wet-well (reactor cooling chamber) of the Forsmark 3 nuclear power plant.

The wet-well is one of the most aggressive environments in any building: continuous immersion, radiation, thermal cycling, and zero tolerance for material degradation. Innerseal was selected after passing Vattenfall's environmental classification, earning a GREEN-2 rating — confirming reliable performance under strict operational conditions while meeting high environmental standards.
