Certified to EN 1504-2

The harmonised European standard for products used in the surface protection of concrete structures.

Primary standard

EN 1504-2 — Surface protection systems for concrete

BS EN 1504-2:2004 · DoP no. 1111-CPD-0556

The harmonised European standard for products and systems used in the protection and repair of concrete structures. EN 1504-2 defines three protection methods: hydrophobic impregnation, impregnation, and coating.

Controll Innerseal is classified under impregnation — designed to reduce surface porosity and strengthen the substrate by reacting chemically with cement minerals to form an internal crystalline barrier. Tested for resistance to water penetration, chloride ion penetration, compressive strength, reaction to fire, and vapour permeability.

CE marking is accepted in Great Britain

Following the UK Government's confirmation in 2024–2025 (Morrell-Day Review), CE marking continues indefinitely for construction products in Great Britain. The previously planned mandatory UKCA transition for construction products has been withdrawn. Controll Innerseal's CE marking is therefore valid across both Great Britain and the EU, including Northern Ireland under the Windsor Framework.
